Stage 2 - water and stones with a finish in beautiful Caldas 💚

A beautiful early morning arrived to the Monasterio Armenteira 😊

This morning we started earlier as we had 24km ahead 😊 no big elevations beautiful way close to the river instead 💚 Stage 2 - water and stones.

Our first path I may describe as Camino of dreams, nice sound of the mountain river and beautiful green around 💚

Today we had our ideal pace, the beauty of old water mills, river and amazing forest was immersing us to walking meditation 💚 Gisella called this stage “go with a real flow” 😊

I caught myself thinking that there was a nice time spent with our thoughts and gratitude for the nice weather and this stunning beauty of Galicia 💚

It was a while till we arrived to our brunch place. After eating it we kept followimg river which merged with the other one and lead us to a beautiful waley of winegrapes plantations 😊

After a small rest on a bench catching the sun our hardest part begun, it was still 10km left but the legs and back was strickimg a bit 😊

This part we kept walking with the commitment to finish the stage. It was beautiful scenery after we climbed the hill and a cosy little town we passed where Gisella rewarded us with a sweet spanish orange 😊

This part reminded me of not official pilgrim code - don’t complain and fight all strugles inside you while taking it as a lesson to learn or as a reason for sweeter finish of the stage ✨

The beach we was reaching at a golden hour and still could see the orange sky greeting us close to our finish 🌅

While entering the first hostel in town for some refreshments and chillax we felt that it is our end of the walk 😊

We got really nice welcome there, some drinks and unfortunate news that our stage 3 can not happen as no boats during winter.

And here we had a small plot twist 😊 we switched from Variante Espiritual to Portuguese Central which means beautiful Caldas del Reis ✨

We have reached this beautiful town by taxi and was so happy to be there again 😊✨

We went to the church and than straight to the restaurant we was having dinner back in July - so many nice memories 😊✨💚 after that we had a small tour of memories - where Gisella was staying, where we went and of course we couldn’t resist of nose touch of the pilgrim 🤭😊

After that we went to Thermal Bath which is a real miracle of nature - hot spring water was a true treatment to our tired legs 😊

This place is so precious for us as both back in summer and now it has it special vibe ✨

Our beautiful day ended in a most unexpected way what is a true bliss ✨ the feeling that you can always choose, switch or stay, is a beautiful sense of freedom 💚 and a person who accompanies you in this flow is a true diamond ✨

Porto vibes ✨

I woke up before 6am and instantly thought that time difference is in my favour 😊 I have full day in Porto 💚 I got ready fast and as silent as possible as my room mate was sleeping tight. I brought a coffee and went to cathedral. As it was still a bit too early to pick piligrim passport I sat in the square enjoying a beautiful music this guy was performing ✨ It felt that the melodies are washing the soul ✨ pure joy, calmness and admiration was going through the veins 🎶 I thought to myself that this usually happens to myself abroad when street musicans are playing - they have that special vibe. Magic 🎶 maybe it’s becouse the most beautiful things are priceless? ✨ the time stopped or passed while I dived in the melody, the time flew imperceptibly. I got in the cathedral and it was just few people there, calm and nice 😊 And yay I got my piligrim passport 👣 I bought the shell also to have a complete gear 😊 I believe it is so wonderful to have it all completed with stamps as ir was a...

Hola Spain ✨

The day started pretty early as the party was hitting hard downstars at 4am 😄 but after some hours of “sleep” we woke up very energetic and went down to take breakfast. Philip made great coffee and we took the chairs outside and had a great chill. It seemed we sit on The Way as many piligrims was passing by 😄 and one more girl joined us for a coffee. Sharing is caring ✨ The view was impressive and we could wave to Spain or as Philip said spit over there if try harder 🤭 So again some more goodbye hugs and I left to my Litoral path while others went to Central 😊 Camino truly teaches how not to attach, say goodbye and release ✨ I went to harbour and one mane suggested to take a boat. Why not I thought to myself, don’t need to wait for ferry. The boat to be honest didn’t look very trustworthy but the ticket is already in my hand 😄 So we took it with one spanish family and the captain asked where am I from.
